Yeah, that’s how it sounds. It’s black. The popping sound comes from a combination of fuel tuning, exhaust dynamics, and turbo operation, especially during acceleration, deceleration, or shifting. Best car I’ve ever owned. By far the quickest.

Hilarious!

I remember the Detroit/Windsor fireworks competitions downtown. I used to love those. The fireworks were so pretty.

I didn’t know that about Lindsay Lohan. But with Elon Musk, his face is like when you see a wax figure that almost looks right, but the longer you stare, the more your brain is like “something’s like… off.”

For real question… What would you do when you and Mr. CG first met, when y’all agreed to meet up for coffee and when dude walked through the door, he looked identical to Musk? Lol
I wouldn’t have done anything. I mean, it wouldn’t have mattered because I didn’t agree to meet up with him at the coffee shop to date him. It was originally just a meet up kind of thing. Would I have later dated him if he looked like that? Umm…. No. Just no. Ew, lol.

Dude, you’re posting to me like I speak and understand the same car language you speak and understand. I’m not a car guy, remember? Lol. I see you changed your siggy. That car must be bad ass because I’ve never seen you mention any of your cars in your siggy. Got another stick shift huh? Nice.

Alpha black. Great choice.

Sticks aren’t available for these. It has a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. So the AWD system is has works best with computer-controlled gear shifts for maximum traction. Plus, it makes too much power for a traditional manual gearbox to handle reliably. That’s why a stick isn’t available. That part I’ll miss. I love traditional manual transmission.

With the popping, it runs a rich air-fuel mixture, especially during shifts and throttle lift-off. What happens is unburnt fuel enters the exhaust system, where it ignites due to the high heat, causing the popping or crackling noise. It’s especially noticeable if I put it in sport or race mode, where the ECU keeps the throttle open longer for performance. The ECU (Engine Control Unit) is the computer that controls the engine’s operation. And the twin-turbochargers it has build up a lot of boost, so when you let up off the throttle aggressively, too fast or quickly, excess air and fuel are released, which also contributes to the popping sound as the turbos relieve pressure.

“Bad ass” is an understatement man. It’s just insanely unreal. It will eat some Lambos and Ferraris for lunch. It’s that brutally fast. And at launch, it’s just blistering.

Boys and their toys. They go from Hot Wheels to real wheels. Boys go from playing with toy cars on the floor to grown men sitting in the garage, admiring their real ones for hours. The behavior never changes, except the price tag and the wife in the background saying, “Are you seriously going sit there and stare at it all night?”

LMAO! I think most dudes are like that, CG. I’ve been playing golf since I was 4, and I still haven’t put the golf clubs down. I don’t think I’m as passionate about my hobby as PB is with his though. Any time you make a career out of something you’re passionate about that’s passion extreme. Dude loves him some cars Lol.

Oh yeah, for sure! PB was a car guy before he even had a chance to be anything else. $5 bucks his baby kicks had a 0-60 time.

Elon has managed to father 14 children with 4 different mothers - perhaps it's his money that is attractive? We assumed it was looks in Revelations, but it could be power/money?

My mom used to say "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys"

Oh yeah, I'm back from Spain- great trip! Wish I could stay there. Had to repeatedly mention to people (tour guides, airbnb hosts, etc) that we aren't supporters of the orange one. They relaxed and told us how afraid they are for the world with him in charge. Yep, us too- us too.

YAY! Dee is back!

How was your trip? And happy belated birthday to you. What’d you do for your birthday?

O-M-GAWD! Your mom was SO right, lol.

I would have been SO embarrassed in another country telling people I’m American. I think I would just tell people I’m from Greece, but I live in Canada, lol.

On my birthday, we took a bus from Granada to Sevilla and checked into our Airbnb. Then we took a boat ride tour along the river in Sevilla, which included wine. Then had a great dinner at a place that served plates, tapas and desserts. It was a great day!

The trip was great. I'm totally exhausted though. I went to two palaces/castles, visited 2 cathedrals, a monestary, 4 of the 11 "white villages" in southern spain. We saw Flemanco dancers and did lots of shopping and ate all the great stuff- empanadas from store fronts along the street, lamb kebabs at a Moroccan restaurant, carrot cake and cheese cake at the tapas place on my birthday, pastel de nada, postres of all kinds, especially filled with chocolate or Nutella. They serve cheese cake hot, which was unexpected, but delicioso!

CG, you could get away with that too. How you look, you could say Colombian, Mexican, Greek, Venezuelan, but not American.. LOL For real. And don’t fake an accent. It’d be 100% believable.

Sounds like you had so much fun. But hot cheesecake? 🫤

Was TKEGuy happy to see you?

You know what’s funny about that? So, I can emulate my mom really well. Even she laughs and gets a kick out of it when I do. She’s got a heavy accent and I have it down packed.

WIFLSRN: How did we go from 74 on Friday to 19 this morning? Well, there probably won’t be a lot of people in church this morning so we can get out of there without being stopped and talked to for 40 minutes.

My initial reaction to the hot cheesecake was "what is going on here??" but it really was good! It had a delicious caramel sauce on it. My son got a cheesecake that had a caramel sauce that was so yummy too.

TKEGuy was very happy I was back. He'd been sick most of the week though so he definitely wasn't 100%.

I liked Frigiliana, Spain almost as much as I liked Mykonos when I was there. I think I was able to pass as Spanish and could probably pass as Greek also.
