Absolutely not! Watching a convicted felon take an oath he has no intention of honoring is as pointless as expecting integrity from a career fraud.

Actually, to be honest with you, I’m done with both sides. The Democrats and our so-called “justice” system, including the Supreme Court, have turned Trump’s antics into the new normal by refusing to do anything meaningful about it. And then there’s Obama, cozying up to Trump at Carter’s funeral like they’re old college roommates. And let’s not forget Trump’s laughable “assassination attempt”, a joke that Biden and Harris knew was fake but are conveniently sweeping under the rug. It’s like they’re all in on the same bad joke, and we’re supposed to pretend it’s leadership. It’s like watching a bad reality show where everyone’s pretending the villain isn’t the villain, and frankly, I’d rather cancel my subscription to all of it. I am SO done with it.

I’m beginning to look at it from that perspective too. It looked rather spineless on Barack Obama’s part. Did you hear Harris declined to invite Vance to a courtesy visit to the vice president’s residence before the inauguration? I think that’s a tradition.

If they really wanted to make a statement to the country, no former presidents should show up to Trump’s inauguration. The fact they’re going makes them part of the lie when he takes the oath of office.

Yep. The fact that former presidents are attending is bad enough, because like you said, they’re legitimizing someone who’s turned the oath of office into a total joke. Like.. seriously! But Biden and Harris showing up is even worse, to me. They should know better than to dignify this shit show with their presence. Honestly? Their absence would speak volumes, but instead, they’re opting to uphold what’s about to be a meaningless tradition over making a principled stand. It’s a disappointing display of spinelessness across the board if you ask me.

And honestly? It’s just another reminder that humans never seem to learn from past mistakes. History has shown us time and again where this kind of complicity leads, yet here we are, once again, pretending like this time will be different.

I was raised by my parents to always believe in letting my yes mean yes and my no mean no, because it’s the foundation of integrity. To do otherwise is spineless and undermines trust. It’s just so frustrating to see so many people, especially those in leadership, abandoning that principle for the sake of appearances and tradition.

I swear, watching Obama grin and laugh with Trump is like watching a firefighter roast marshmallows over a house fire — completely insane and not the vibe anyone asked for.

ETA: No, I didn’t know that about Harris and Vance. Does it matter?

LMAO! All FACTS! Preach, CG!

Starting Monday, it’s back to folks slipping in that slick shit, mid-friendly conversation.

It’ll be mid conversation and they’ll say some shit like, “you probably got this job because of affirmative action.” You know, that tokenism bs. Or “you’re articulate for an African-American”.

We can also do without the hyphenated bs too, IMO. If that’s the case, then hyphenate everybody, except for the people native here. Or they’ll treat somebody’s features as a novelty or spectacle. Shit like that.
