I don't think smaller numbers will turn off a lot of people. Some will but then there are those who are looking for a smaller sorority/fraternity and will see how strong those people are together. A smaller sorority was actually what I looked for this year during recruitment and they all know each other very well and are very close. But there are those will get turned off unfortunately.
