It’s a really old movie about the Gumball Rally, which is a real race, IRL, but it occurs in several countries. The 1976 movie is about the Gumball Rally taking place in the States from New York to California. It’s now called the Gumball Rally 3000. It takes place every year. I’d have to find out to see if it still happens, but that’s what it is. Unlike The Cannonball Run, it’s sanctioned. It’s legal. You pay the fee and race.

The movie is somewhat raunchy, but the cars are great. I skip/fast forward past the raunchy scenes so I can see the good car parts of the movie only.

Second to The Cannonball Run, it has the best intro, due to the timeless sound of that Shelby Cobra 427.

This is where you and I differ, PB. I’d be doing the direct opposite, skipping past the car scenes to the raunchy scenes Lol.

Nice! I’m so glad you had fun together.

I honestly have this really bad feeling that on Wednesday I’m going to see the news come through my phone that Trump won. This is the first time that I’ve been this stressed out over an election. I was stressed out with the first Biden/Trump election, but this time it’s an unhealthy kind of stress, because I’m losing sleep over it.

We can't let the stress get to us, cheerfulgreek, because we may be called upon to fight tooth-and-nail against anything irrational the opposition actually goes thru with should they garner the most electoral votes.

I've heard a few religious radio programs recently on combating stress. The moderators recommend listing all your worries, then turning them into things to pray about. By allowing a higher power care about your worries, you have time and energy to deal with people and things closest to your heart and home.

I hope you can quiet the noises in your mind, CG, and escape the media as much as possible (especially just before bedtime!)

Thank you, Cheerio. You’re right. It’s just really hard to not worry about the outcome. I will do my best to try to follow what you posted.

I just finished voting, and there wasn’t a line at all. I mean, it’s the same place I’ve always voted and there’s never been a line. I think I spent more time talking to people there that I know in our neighborhood, than anything. I’m leaving here now and going home to try and sleep.

Thank you for your post. I needed that positive energy.

I’m not even worried about this election. Kamala Harris is going to win. But damn, that video was funny as hell Lol!

The states that took days last time are all saying they've made changes to their processes and will have results TONIGHT. Let's hope that's the case. I can't take days of this again.

I needed to paint my family room so I decided to do that tonight to work off the anxiety. The color I picked out today is called "Optimistic Yellow" from Sherwin Williams. It seemed apropos.

I was so devastated in 2016 and I'm super afraid of that outcome again.
