I think most girls can remember the number of guys they have kissed, because girls tend to be more prudent in their choices. Not only do they not want to be labeled for their risque actions, but they want to respect themselves.
I have never ever had a drunk hook up... the one night, momentary kiss on the dance floor or back seat of the car. I have been beligerantly drunk before, I may say things that I don't remember, but a kiss is a sensation that stands out in one's mind. No matter how drunk I am, I don't want to regret things in the morning. I avoid chapter ridicule and save myself some dignity. Now it's different if a girl has the intention of a certain interaction with a specified person planned beforehand.

The free love concept was a novelty in the 60's, but as you pointed out the high AIDS rate in Florida, it was also the era in which a deadly virus emerged. Why put yourself at risk like that? If not to save your character, to save your life?
Sorry if I sound like a mother, but truly...it's a shame to see young adults behving so irrationally and risking so much for fleeting hedonism.
