I’m not a PBS watcher, but I’ll watch videos that I think match the standard I’m teaching. I’m a 7th grade social studies teacher. I have shown PBS documentaries to my students because they’re very informative. There really isn’t such a thing as a “Jim Crow North” though. Jim Crow is Jim Crow. Jim Crow isn’t just a southern thing. Jim Crow is anything south of the Canadian border. Today, it’s just a more advanced version of it. This is the kind of thread where we can learn from each other.
