I think what AZTheta meant was 1990 was the last time a new chapter colonized from scratch (and wasn't recolonized), so it certainly has been a long time since a new chapter joined. (from shadokat's thread)

I just came back from our Founders Day lunch. The President of our Gamma Phi Beta chapter at SDSU shared that the chapter picked up some 160 new members at fall recruitment and that total is over 300. (Don't quote me, I didn't quite catch the exact numbers.)

She added that, due to the huge new member class sizes, Panhellenic is currently looking to add either Chi Omega or Tri Delta or both.

Eight NPC chapters seems too few for this campus with those types of numbers. Chi Omega was there until 1995 but it seems that this would be first time that a Tri Delta chapter was on campus. UC San Diego would be the closest university that has both chapters.

Tri Sigma has agreed to accept the resignation of charter of their chapter at UNLV. The chapter will remain open through the fall term, but they will not recruit any new members. The chapter will close at the end of the Fall 2023 term.

Alpha Sigma Alpha closed their chapter at University of Missouri Kansas City. The closure was August 1st.

Yeah the Phi to Pi was a mistake.

And obviously when expansion opens, all orgs not on campus can present to potentially form a colony. Was just mentioning what could recolonize if chosen to.
