Or they're out wearing letters and doing things that would earn your members a swift expulsion. Or a trip to jail.

That's actually what happened. A guy bought an AKA shirt at a thrift and wore it. But trust me, there was plenty of backlash.

I’m not surprised. It trips me out knowing GLO members are donating their perry to thrift stores/Goodwill or whatever. While that photo is funny as hell, it just blows me away that it got in the wrong hands.

Take them with you to convention and sell to other chapters. And sell to alums at homecoming (specifically, after approximately 7 pm Saturday night lol).

Are the letters hugely on it? Or does it just say “Beta Beta presents their 57th Chili Cookoff” in script? If it’s the latter, I wouldn’t worry about them falling into random hands.

The girly paisley print on the letters is what makes the outfit.

Looks like everything is dirty except for the boots.

Years ago, I was riding down our main street with several teachers on our way to a training. I looked out and saw several Guatemalan guys coming down the street, wearing AKA shirts. I nudged the half-sleeping AKA next to me and said, "Hey L____, there are your sisters," and she woke up and looked and screamed, "WHAT?" and started trying to climb over me (at about 35 mph) and get at them! This woman was in her seventies!

We were trying to hold her down until the driver could get way past them. For sure, she would have ripped their shirts off!

I forget the whole story about the man in the ADPi shirt, but here's what I do remember.

The guys with him are Americans working in the Middle East on something technical. The one did mention that it was a girl's shirt, and the Contender for Homeliest ADPi Ever almost took his shirt off. They then did tell him that it was for a group for very beautiful young women, and he was happier. As for the rest of his fashion sense, I'm going to give him a Negative 9 on a scale of one to ten!

This.

I have a pile of T-shirts and a couple of letter sweatshirts from my collegiate days. I almost never wear them, except to go to the gym, but I won't donate them. There's an AEPhi chapter in town (Tulane) and I don't want them to get in hot water because some rando picked up an AEPhi T-shirt at Goodwill and then went over to Bourbon St. and got their drunk on.

Also, in AEPhi, if you're not a sister, you're not allowed to wear the Greek letters. (Even new members can't wear letters.) So I'm doubly uncomfortable about donating my letters.

Right. Someone's parent/sibling/minister/dog walker/etc attending the "event" and purchasing/winning the event's tshirt has no worry attached. I've worn a shirt from a relative's event without incident nor guilt.
