You need to start writing the history of NBO now so the girls in future new member classes can apreciate how you struggled and worked to get AZD there!!

Do we know what steps are taken from here?
From my understanding of how these things work, after you invite AZD to colonize, AZD then decides if they want to expand. Do we know how long that could take? Do they have a deadline?

Hi everyone,
We're still waiting to hear back from Delia, so I don't know what the status is. I'm a little stressed about it  But I'm sure things will be moving along shortly. I don't know why Delia hasn't gotten back in touch with me, maybe she's just busy. I'm sure she must have gotten my messages, I left one on her work and cell phone. I'll keep you all posted, but for now, no news yet!

Hi everyone,
Delia and I were finally able to connect- she had called and left messages and my crappy answering machine apparently just erased them. But anyway, we met up, and drafted the letter of invitation for AZD to colonize at UCSC. She's going to fax it over first thing Monday morning, and hopefully we'll be hearing from them soon after that! There are no time/deadlines as far as I know, but I really hope we can make significant (more so than we already have, which is alot!) progress by September 18th, which is when school starts here. More as soon as anything happens!

Wow, I just got through this thread and let me tell you Corina that I am utterly speechless and amazed at everything you and your co-founding sisters have accomplished. It's absolutely phenomenal. I would have given up a long time ago. I know that I would have been sooo proud to call you a sister, but am DELIGHTED that things are working out with Alpha Xi Delta. Congrats! You deserve all the best. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and your rush story and experiences have further driven this belief in my mind. You are a wonderful asset to the Greek community, both at your school and nationally as a whole. It is dedicated, motivated, strong, tenacious women like you who will keep Greek life strong for many many years to come. All my best to you and your chapter. The AZDs are incredibly lucky to call you sisters!

CONGRATULATIONS! You have definitely come a long way. NBO has made a great accomplishment. I hope your success not only continues, but grows as well. Then again, with the leadership you and your sisters have shown, I'm sure it wont be a problem. AZD is lucky to have you.

I'm in a local that wants to go National, too. I was wondering how many members you have that have said that they will join the National. We have about 1/2 of our members that aren't sure that they will join the new National.
We had our meeting with a National group and only 13 of our women showed up.
How many of your members attended the meeting with AZD?
