Can I pledge aka if I was in PHA

I renounced my PHA membership can I
join AKAs in NPHC?
If I renounced my PHA membership can I join AKAs in
NPHC? I tried to rush ph but they weren't on my
campus so I rushed a PHA and now the nphc is back on
my campus. Can I join that org? I am a legacy. Is it up to
the chapter if they want to take me?

No. Once you are initiated into a sorority and this can be any (PHA,NPHC,NAFLO,etc.) you cannot take membership into any other organization.

I suggest that you stay in your own lane. Members of NPC really should not reply to a question about NPHC policies or practices. The various councils have different rules. The comment above is incorrect.

Whether or not an AKA chapter would ever consider a member that pledged another sorority first is an entirely different question.

Answering only because I found specifically on Alpha Kappa Alpha's website.

At https://aka1908.com/membership/aspir...ective-members

Q: Can I seek membership if I am or was a member with another Sorority?

A: If that Sorority belongs to the National Pan-Hellenic Council or National Panhellenic Conference, you are ineligible for membership with Alpha Kappa Alpha. Individuals that falsify applications will have their membership revoked and will be expelled from the Sorority.

I presume the OP meant NPC when they said PHA, but some campuses may have non-NPC members of the PHA. At this point, contacting AKA National seems to logical next step to see if *anything* can be done.

(As a note, DST's website also specifically mentions NPC sororities as not allowing double membership, ZPhiB and SGR do not, but I take that as *no* assurance that a Sigma Kappa could become ZPhiB or SGR, merely that perhaps not all membership requirements are listed in obvious public places on those two websites.)

I have already spoken to some members and it has definitely been considered for good reason too. But is it allowed? Will membership be given if the chapter decides to allow it or is it out of their hands? especially with them being a legacy

Slight lane swerve, I would reach out to the HQ, Exec Office (what ever is the appropriate term for Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.) Generally they set the requirements for the organizations that the chapters are expected to follow. They truly are your best and most reliable source of this information.
