From my observation, going virtual has improved attendance for meetings and programs for every BGLO I am familiar with. Most are using Zoom.
My national board meetings for Gamma Xi Phi are conducted using Google Meet. I like it because I like Google products. However, for more "program" things, I will have to use Zoom because it has more features, and can be recorded at a lower price point than Google Meet.
I have not used MS Teams.
Best practices: Sticking to time limits with a tight agenda--always ending 5-10 minutes early if possible. Yet also making the meetings time to check-in and be social in the proper doses. One brother we hadn't seen in a REALLY long time popped in to listen and say hi. That made me feel really good.
