Out of House Rules

Hi all,

I am currently a house manager for a charter chapter, so I get to open our first house! Although I'm really excited, there's definitely a lot of unknowns because we are starting from scratch. Does your chapter have specific house rules for live-out and new members? If so, what are they?

Have you reached out to your headquarters? They usually have guidelines for housing.

IH has given us rules but they are generic for live-in, live-out, alumnae, and guests. Being a new chapter we want to set up boundaries a bit more formally.

Can you give us an idea of what you mean? Rules of conduct while in the house, responsibilities to the house? rules of behavior as a member of your org?
