Not speaking for Thetalady at all but, I think the absolute scrutiny and talking about her would make life really difficult.

While she did not commit a crime nor is she accused of anything, unfortunately in society people are still victims of guilt by association.

Perhaps. But saying she absolutely cannot return to her school or sorority is extreme. Will she? Maybe.. maybe not. That's up to her.

I know Ole Miss. The gossip, the constant whispers and sly looks would be incredibly painful. She would likely be completely ostracized. Maturity and forgiveness does not run deep there.
