As much as you have been posting about looking forward to rushing and hope to get a bid and join a sorority, I cannot understand why in the world you would let something like a job possibly jeopardize that. If your schedule can be tweaked to accommodate job requirements, I guess ok. I would very strongly discourage you from missing ANY rush activities. You don't have many chapters on your campus. Even an excused absence could mean the difference between getting a bid and nothing.
Understand that if you do get that precious bid, you may be in the same predicament. Are you constantly going to be required to choose between sorority participation and work? You are getting to be an adult and forced to make choices in your life. Choices have consequences. Be sure you consider what your priorities are. Time to put on the big girl panties!!
