Not sure where you are in Southern California, but contact the closest alumnae Panhellenic association near you. Orange County, Long Beach and Los Angeles all have websites. You can register and let them know that you’re going through recruitment at Texas. They may be able to help you with recommendations. You can also see if that association has Longhorn alumnae who could help answer specific questions about Texas recruitment. (The LA Longhorns have a Facebook group! Go network at an upcoming event!)
If you are visiting the UT campus before the end of the semester, see if you can schedule a campus tour where the tour guide is in a sorority.
