It's strange that UNF's Greek councils want to suspend all social activity and the university president is looking to get them reinstated. I feel like I'm in a bizarro world. Actually, it's because he says the councils don't have the authority to impose those sort of sanctions on all the chapters without agreement from the administration, but it's still a weird situation that IFC, Panhellenic, NPHC etc. aren't allowed to be proactive and self-manage. I guess the university president is meeting with Greek members today or tomorrow to hash things out.
Another one for the list: I saw on social media that the FAU Greek Alliance has self-banned all events for the rest of the semester, which is nothing, but suspending all Greek events with alcohol starting next semester. However the Greek Alliance will revisit the ban at the end of January (so this one may be short lived) and discuss whether or not to limit the # of social events with alcohol, and other possible measures.
