Whatever end of the spectrum your Greek system is at, keeping an open mind is important. You may think you have had enough exposure to write XYZ sorority off and consider FGH sorority a favorite - but until you are part of an organization, you don't know what it's really like.

You are right about not truly knowing what it's like until you're part of it. I honestly thought I would love the chapter I was in until I was in it for a couple months. About 1,300 women sign up every year. There were 12 sororities when I was going through recruitment, and a 13th sorority had a ceremony for their charting class last month. Each sorority takes around 80-90 women During my time in recruitment I met quite a few sophomores so it doesn't seem to be a super taboo thing to do at my school.
