This is nuts. According to IP's thread only 869 women joined during formal last year. This campus is obviously making massive recruitment cuts or losing huge amounts of pnms. Is this due to the expense of CU sorority life? What is the status of extension here? Would there be room/housing for two sorority colonies?

Do we know how many women signed up for recruitment last year at University of Colorado Boulder? Hoping it is much less than the 1450 women signed up this year. As less than a 60% bid rate is not a great percentage.

This is kind of out of left field, but aren't the fraternities getting rerecognized by the school this year? Maybe that has something to do with stirring up interest in Greek life.

Yes and no. The university recently formed their own IFC. Two fraternities that are colonizing are charter members of this IFC. All other fraternities will remain in their own IFC, not affiliated with the university. These fraternities currently refuse to join the new IFC. The requirement now for fraternities wanting to colonize at Colorado is that they must join this new university affiliated IFC.
