She may call you, ecstatic that she got a full schedule. She may call you in tears because her favorite chapter cut her. All you can do is listen to her and cheer her on and urge her to keep an open mind and keep smiling. And, hopefully, she'll be calling you on bid day with some good news.

And, yes, wine is your friend, but don't overdo it!

I do not know Delta Gamma's current policies on actives writing recs. I do know back in the Stone Age, we had one day during rush when we'd write recs for the women we were hoping to pledge.

Call around? Nope. Research? Nope. All pre-internet, of course. We'd just write 'em with what we knew. It bit us once during my four years. But that was a high percentage; we pledged no more than 4-5 a year, and never had more than 25 members at once. Then. I'm happy to report things have changed for that chapter, and school!
