Sorry to board crash, but I gotta add my 2 cents...I've never seen a DG looking or acting trashy, so major props to all of you!!
Yes it definitely is an image thing. As a good Southern girl I was taught that a lady never drank straight out of the bottle, always out of a cup and in a way that didn't make obvious WHAT it was you were drinking. Also, if you're drinking out of a cup, hey, it could be water or it could be Everclear, but if you're drinking out of a beer bottle, then no doubt what it is. Also, I can NOT abide by some fraternity members on campus that wear not only shirts w/ their letters on them, but other groups' as well and look like the last time they saw soap they were going the other way! And I depise seeing anyone in letters looking trashy (that is to say, too much makeup, too much "gunk" in the hair, rear end hanging out of the shorts, smacking gum, smoking, smelling offensively, etc). I know my sisters would let me have it if I went out in my letters looking like a streetwalker or someone who just rolled out of bed. Where's the respect!
