"Cheapishly" could be part of the problem, if they are destroying things you bring to the house. Still shows serious disrespect, no matter what you are bringing.
I am curious why you bother? If you are treated so badly by this fraternity, why are you there? Don't you respect yourself more than to be treated like crap? If you don't, there is a larger problem here.
