I'm a senior and have a year and a half to two years left at school. i have beein interested and joing delta zeta since i was a freshman (i had a bf who didnt want me to go greek and then didn't have the required gpa). But now i have no bf and a high enough gpa. Does it matter that i'm almost done with school? should i still go to recruitment events? or will it be a waste of my time?

Hey MarySunshine-
I don't really know anything about recruitment at your school, or whether being an upperclassperson makes rushing difficult, but I would say definitely go for it, if you are interested! Is formal rush in the fall or Spring at your school?

I had sisters who pledged their senior years, when they have 1 year left of school, so I don't think 1.5-2 years would be a waste of your time. Delta Zeta (and any national sorority) is for a lifetime-not just college.

Good luck to you, and let us know what you decide!

Hey MarySunshine,
Going through recruitment was definetly the BEST decsion I have ever made (well, and joining DZ of course! ) One of the sisters that I am closest to was a senior when she joined (she and I pledged together). She graduated last fall and got married this past June...now, we live in the same apartment complex and it's like nothing has changed! I say GO FOR IT! You'll have a GREAT time!!!

Much love and good luck,
Blaire

Go for it I was in my 4th year, but technically a Junior when I pledged (My junior college credits kept me as a freshman my first year). I stayed for 2 whole semesters and then went temp alum when I interned. Best decision of my life
