Boo of Brandy for being crass like that on TV!

Was that her way of "keeping it real"?

Unhappy Alright now

"some" of us are coming off a little judgemental. we are entitled to our opinions, but dang... can Brandy be Brandy without "some" folks nasty comments and jealous statements, she is still very young in life, in all fairness how tacky are some of "our" comments and purchases in life, at least she can afford it, how many of "us" are hiding from the bill collector, now if the shoe fit, wear it, and if you need to defend yourself cause i made you hot, i know i got your right size. peace.

I agree. We all have to live within our means, and if Brandy is making all kinds of money, what is wrong with her enjoying it? So if she has Coach, Gucci, etc. on every piece of luggage, clothing or whatever....it is her money!! If she wants to drop 4 grand in a store.....I can't be made, shoot I wish I could shop like that!

And before we all go judging her marriage, we might want to check our own relationships (if we are in one). If you and your mates interactions were scrutinized, how much could other people find fault with??

Just MHO

Exclamation I see your point BUT

She put herself out there on National T.V and we all were able to have our opinions about it. True, we've all made mistakes but thank heavens we didn't sign up to put it on display. I'm really all for her marriage and motherhood working. I mean there's a baby involved But IMO we've all just been jabbing at her in fun.

WHo Cares about the Coach bags..what about.....

Well to be honest the Coach etc is not what bothered me-- you see--I am happy with God Blessed me with.. I don't own a single Coach bag and never have--I don't think I have ever owned a bag that was more than $50 in my life...but I do have a child (a 5 month old) and I was very concerned that--she had that 3 day old baby out and about like that--in the studio- (you could see speakers vibrating and such)
So I was hoping that someone was giving her some advice on that tip

I didn't think that anyone was really being super judgemental of Brandy. We were all just voicing our opinions on her show, just like we have been doing with the Real World and Sorority Life. No one is being mean or trying to be hurtful. If you put your life out there like that, you can't get mad when people respond.

I don't begrudge Brandy any of her success. I wish her all the best in her career, her marriage, and motherhood. I have never been a huge fan but I still wish her the best. Actually, I'm happy for her. I am always happy when I see black people doing something positive with themselves. I did comment that I thought all of the Coach luggage was a bit much. No, it's not because I can't afford it, but because I don't care for it. I'm not one for logos plastered all over everything. That's just my opinion. It's the same as if I said I didn't like her shirt or her shoes.

It's funny though. Throughout the entire Brandy thread, I mean from the way beginning, there have been several posts telling people in essence to "stop hating." I haven't seen anyone on here being really out of line with their comments. When the Real World thread was off the hook with comments about "Walla Walla Girl," there were no comments like that on there. I know a lot of people like Brandy, but dang.

brandy

I agree, no one was telling folks to "stop hating" on Tanya. Just because I'm black doesn't mean I won't voice my opinion on another black person, it doesn't mean I'm "hating".

Back to Brandy, I have no kids, but didn't her baby girl look like a preemie? And she wasn't. I think that had a lot to do with Brandy's Vegan diet. She was holding that child with one hand because she was so small.

I didn't think Brandy's baby looked small. I'm not a vegan, but my daughter was 6 lbs when she was born (at full term) and I could hold her with one hand. I think the fact that the baby was only three days old when she was taped probably has a lot to do with her looking tiny.

When babies are born, they come out weighing a certain amount. They usually lose a couple of ounces within the first days/weeks. By the time I took my daughter for her two week check up, she had lost about seven ounces.

I'm happy for Brandy and her husband. There is nothing on earth like new motherhood. And what made it even better for me was wanting a daughter so badly, then giving birth to a little girl. Brandy is probably on cloud nine right now.

While I don't recommend taking newborns to record studios, all I can say is that after you give bith, you do get cabin fever. I can remember my daughter (who is a December baby) being a couple of weeks old. My husband came home from work one day, and said he needed to run up to the post office. You should have seen me begging him to wait for me to get dressed. Whenever I think about that, I laugh. Never in life has going to the post office sounded like such an exciting trip as it did that day.

Me too!!! my daughter was about two weeks old and I was begging my mother to take me with her to Burger King!!1I almost cried when she said "girl stay here I'll be right back!!"

I remember sneaking out (at 29 years old) while my hubby was at work and my mother was at her house. It was March and was just warm enough--so I drove around the neighborhood (never got out)--I felt liberated

Well, since I brought up the Coach thing, I would like to comment on that as well. I like Coach as much as the next person, and the reason I commented on it was because I noticed that the mama had the backpack, Brandy had the tote, then Bert comes in with another tote and the suitcase. I was just like *dang* that's a lotta Coach. That's all. I was just saying something that stood out (to me) during the mini-series. And I don't see anything wrong with that. We all are entitled to our opinions, and being that she and her fam are celebs, that shouldn't shield her from comments about her lifestyle, taste, style, etc (esp. since she's letting all of us have a glimpse into her life). If anything I was surprised that a rich celeb like her would want that much Coach...as opposed to Gucci, LV, Prada, etc. I guess that made her more "real" to me!

The only thing I was wondering was why she didn't have her mother showing her how to bathe a baby, change the diapers and so on. My mom would be kind of upset with me if I went out and paid somebody to show me something that she could easily show me. That was cool of her to put herself out there like that even though she did come off as a little to dramatic for me.

Yes it was. She was still pregnant on that episode.
