I wish there was a way to take the horse race aspect out of rush. I contend that the day after rush is over most girls would be perfectly happy in almost any house. But tell them that they day before rush is over and they'd look at you like you have 2 heads. Because what happens next is so so so important to get "right."

I agree!! and I also agree that --especially at highly competitive recruitments with new member classes of 100, 150+-- you could literally put different letter shirts on NM classes and never know the difference in personality, looks, activities or grades.

Congrats OP to your Chi Omega daughter! Hanging in there is definitely a good idea, as she proved. I hope she loves every minute of a great organization!
