It's different than Continuous Open Bidding (COB). ETA: you don't "sign up" for snap bids.
Some houses fill quota, then they have girls that drop out as soon as their get their bid or after bid night. Then they will call other girls are offer them a snap bid. I'm not 100% with how it works because my house doesn't do them, but that's what they are called here regardless if that is a technical term or not.
