Sources on the inside just shared that a former YouTube sensation is going through Auburn recruitment this year. Her YouTube name "doglover199709" is still active online and her videos have more than 1 million views. Videos include her lip syncing and dancing around to Hannah Montana, Rhianna and other pop stars while wearing her auburn shirt or Tigger tshirts. How do you all think this will end for her?

lol, I just looked that up -- she must have been waaaay younger. Just a kid playing lip sync in her room -- I guess I just don't *get* what makes an internet sensation. Gotta wonder what her mom thought when she found out her daughter was collecting millions of youtube views while she was supposed to be doing homework.

She's probably old enough now to just laugh about it -- but she may be disappointed to find that Auburn did away with skit day!

My kids are younger than college age, but they would be impressed if someone had a popular YouTube channel. As long as the content is cute and not skanky and she is a decent PNM otherwise, I think it will give her a little bit of a boost. I could see someone like that being recruited as a future Vice President-Public Relations.
