Think of recruitment as an interview. You'll need to put your best foot forward and figure out how to sell yourself. That said, don't be something you're not. You don't need to act fake (because people will see right through that), but just present yourself in the best light possible.
And use your resources! Learn as much as you can in the next two weeks. Talk to people, make connections, and polish your conversation skills.
