Cutting or pledging a group for dumb reasons

I did not accept a 2nd round invitation to my cousin's sorority(she had graduated the year before) because the room echoed. All the PNMs were escorted into a tiled floor,solarium type room that was empty. Each PNM talked exclusively to her hostess-I don't remember any rotation. It was so LOUD! The acoustics were terrible and I couldn't hear myself, much less my hostess, talking.
