When my daughter went through recruitment we used her senior pictures, which were taken with recruitment in mind. In one she wore a cute little summer dress, in another capris and a nice top, and we did a third, more dramatic dressier look. Some were more formal and others a little more playful. Our goal was to create a "look" that other girls would respond to. Kind of a girl-next- door that others would want to be friends with. Remember that during recruitment their pictures ARE the first impression that most will get. A good picture is one that can create an emotion felt by those looking at it. This girl is nice, this girl is fun, this girl is classy, this girl is someone I want to know.
She may only meet a handful of girls during recruitment, but the entire chapter will see the pictures. They are way more than a source of identification.
The girls you photograph have this opportunity to express themselves through pictures. This is a great opportunity to market themselves and create a positive first impression.
Simple, everyday clothing - no fancy prom outfits and evening hair and makeup. The pix will help sorority members identify her, so a PNM needs to look like she will look coming through the door. I like portrait or waist-up the best. I had plenty of pictures, full length, where the face is about .2" tall. Many of these are enlarged and used in a Power Point presentation, so they need to be pretty dense, pixel-wise.
