Emory Suspends All Social Activities at Fraternity Houses

Another suspension of all fraternity social activities -- is it just me, or are we seeing more and more examples of institutions engaging in what appear to be mass sanctions / suspensions / disciplinary actions in response to an alleged event supposedly related to a GLO?

This time it’s Emory, which “. . . has suspended all social activities at fraternity houses after a female victim reported she was raped on Halloween.”

See:

‘The alleged attack happened at about 10:30 Halloween night at a fraternity house on Eagle Row.’ “

The fraternity is not named in the posting cited ^^. However, the AJC report states that it was Sigma Alpha Epsilon; see:

Another report mentions that Emory's IFC instituted the suspension of social activities:

I concur that, yes, there seems to be a pattern developing regarding your theory, 1(or more) in trouble=all punished.

This is - unfortunately - the latest in a string of recent problems which was was the reason given for the system wide penalty. I had thought they tried to go to dry houses a while ago, which may be an ongoing issue. Most of the houses are owned by the fraternity but maintained by university facilities.
