If you think it's ugly now just wait till the grand jury comes back without enough evidence to charge Officer Wilson. An officer friend of mine In that area (not Furgeson but STL) was notified by upper command to be extra vigilant and watch for "revenge" attacks on and off duty when the GJ comes back with their decision.

It was a good day yesterday. (Except for the Cardinals losing.) Marches in downtown St. Louis were peaceful. Protests at the game were small and peaceful. Most fans behaved themselves. Thank God.

And that's why they extended the grand jury term to January. That result (whatever it is, and I think they're probably going to return "no true bill") is going to be announced on the coldest, snowiest/rainiest/sleety crap day in January that they can find. Nobody wants to be outside in St. Louis in January and by the time the weather is good enough to protest outside again, emotions will have cooled a little.
