I'm assuming there are no active brothers who were there while you were a student...

Boundaries are important... For example, while it would be useful to be introduced at the first meeting by the President (or theoretically Alumni Secretary, which probably doesn't exist given the description you gave) and talk *then*, but otherwise don't talk.

And if your section works the way that the one I was on for a Decade, if you do join staff, you'll almost certainly be assigned to a different chapter. (If this is reasonable, *lot* of difference between the Bos-Wash sections and the Plain States sections)
