Reputations are subjective and often based on gendered double standards. Most people don't believe what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Truth! I have been around a long time, work in a very patriarchal and sexist environment and this statement is very true. We still are very fond of slut shaming women and praising men (or at least reacting neutrally) when observing the exact same behavior.
