I have been a type I diabetic since I was barely a year old. I have had a medic alert bracelet ever since. I have seen ones that are big and bulky but mine seems to fit just right. They are expensive tho. And I feel you on the injections part... I have to inject insulin up to four times a day and sometimes it requires me to do it public. My sisters are often intrigued and some are grossed out. but they all understand somehow. but i know i can find at least one diet coke at a sisterhood event with my name on it... most of the time
