The member you fall in love with during recruitment may be a senior, and marginally involved...just a very, very good rusher, or someone who will be studying abroad next semester, student teaching, etc. Your best friends --the ones that make your experience so special -- will be found throughout the chapter. You may not have met them yet and in fact may well be in the member class YOU rush next year.
Tell your daughters to list all of their options, unless they would absolutely rather be independent. If they maximize, they should be celebrating tomorrow.
Also, you Mizzou moms have been terrific! Great attitudes and I suspect the PNM apples haven't fallen far from the trees. Good luck!
