I thought parties went til 5:30? In which case, quota won't be determined until the number of girls signing their pref cards is known.

It could be around 80 though (which is a pretty significant jump from last year if so)

This number is probably a point in the quota range that was told to chapters so they can start getting their final lists together. Every year it seems the initial number is one that some folks hold onto even though quota could be and most likely be +/- that initial number.

As you mentioned the RFM specialists won't even start running the numbers until all MRABAs are signed.

Tomorrow will be an exciting day!

Do you work with RFM for AXO or NPC? I work regionally with Sigma chapters (helping to explain RFM to chapters) and nothing makes me happier than hearing someone who knows what they're talking about re: RFM.

Can someone tell me the details since I won't be there. When they go to the arena are they with their pi chi groups? Are they opening an envelope or just handed a sheet of paper like the paper invites?

Is it then they take off running to their sorority house? When do they get a big sister? What happens today at the sororities?

Do things chill out now?

D has a strong choice for #1, but says she'll be okay if she see sees #2 or #3 listed.

They will go in with their pi chi groups and wait for Aubie and the panhellenic officers to bring the bids. Then they will pass out the bids to the pi chis who I think tell everyone to sit on them until it is time to open them. Lately - they have just been a well taped sheet of paper, no envelope.

(Its also always late)

Then the girls will run to meet up with the other girls from their chapter to walk to the chapter rooms. The ones in Oak will have to walk around Oak to get to the lawn to go to their chapter.

Thank you so much for saying that they are always late. I would have been stressing! My daughter's Pi Chi sent out a group text saying that they all had bids and no one needed to worry! I just can't wait to see which lucky sorority gets my sweet daughter!

When they get a big sister varies a lot by the NPC group- some get them within a week, some get them closer to Initiation. Almost all groups have some kind of bid day buddy.

Things definitely chill out now- once they are done celebrating..lol. New member period is busy, but it's also time to focus on classes come next week! Can't wait to hear where she ended up
