University of Alabama Fall 2014 NPC Sorority Recruitment

My daughter is having a good experience at UA so far! She's been lucky with a full party list thus far with only a couple of disappointments along the way. She's still very excited about her options & loves several of the houses on her list(which makes this momma happy!). I know big cuts are coming but am very hopeful in the process that she'll still be happy come Saturday morning! I have a silly question- she says they'll take her phone on Friday until voting is over. Does anyone know if they can let others (um, like her sister & I) know the 3 she's preffing before the parties begin? I'm not sure I can wait all day, lol!!!

Her Rho Chi will probably take phones before the girls receive their invitations, so it is likely you may not know where she is returning for pref. She can call you after she has turned in her choices Friday night.

Plan a busy day Friday, go out to dinner with friends, and enjoy a nice wine. Maybe have some wine with lunch too. :)

Thank you, Hartofsec! If this is the case, Friday will be a very long day! Going from 8 houses to 3 makes me a little, ok, a lot nervous! ...& yes, wine may just be the answer I was looking for!

They confiscate private property???!!!!????!!!!

I thought the idea was to treat the women as adults.

If the women were acting as adults (i.e. realized they need to act with discretion until the process is completed and not word/picture vomit every 5 minutes online) they wouldn't have to take their phones. If there's an emergency, land lines still exist.

Plus when it's 21 year olds doing it to 18 year olds, that logic sort of goes out the window.
