My rec girl has 8 invitations including 3 of her favorites. Sounds like she is on par with others in her group.

Just heard from the older sister of one of my rec girls-she has 9 invites for today including her legacy chapter! Super excited to see where she ends up.

I was right to worry about my rec girl with grade concerns- she was only invited back to 2 houses- neither were her favorites. I have not heard from my other two so am hoping no news is good news for them.

PNM Rec
Okay so I have a REC that was invited back by 11 out of her top 12. That is the last I heard from her mom who is keeping me updated. Things seem to be going her way for now. Any sorority would be getting a good sister if they pledge her. Selfishly, I hope she pledges Pi Phi and last I heard Pi Phi was in her top 3 . Yahoo!!

It is always nice when a PNM likes our sorority. It's like the cherry on top of a yummy sundae! And what a lucky girl to be invited back to 11 of her top 12. Hope she has a great day!

There are so many girls going through that the sororities can afford to be picky like that. I want to tell these girls, "Yes! They really are serious about grades!"
At least she knows it's grades, and probably nothing else.

Any general updates about anything? Alabama's rush is my favorite to follow. I'll take anything!

Today (Tuesday, Aug. 12) was the second day of philanthropy parties. Tomorrow is the first of 2 days of skit parties, so I anticipate drama tomorrow, since this is a big release time.
PNMs will get their lists very shortly before the parties begin in the morning.

Ha! This made me laugh! They never believe you do they? The girl and her mother were advised by several of us going in that daughter would have problems and that it really would be best if she waited and got grades up… Her mother was "stunned" when daughter was so heavily cut… I guess apple doesn't fall too far from tree :-)

Finally! A little break with the weather and better hair days ahead.
Moms, hang in there and encourage those girls to persevere. The invites will likely be fewer for most girls following releases from the last round.
Good luck to all the PNMs (and peace to their moms). In just three days they will be gathering in Bryant-Denny!

update from one NY PNM: Was invited back to 12 for Philanthropy and 8 to skit -- looks like a full dance card, right? And for sure, she did not have rec to one of them

My "grade risk" is down to one and is contemplating withdrawing. I just heard from my NJ girl whom I had "no worries except for the whole OOS thing" --she had 12 for philanthropy and has 6 for skit -- she is "over the moon"-- still have not heard from my PITA girl ;-)
