Definately go through rush in the spring! I have many friends who were not a part of GLOs, so it is not like you are not allowed to talk to anyone outside your sisterhood!
Don't be nervous about not getting a bid. In the 3 years I participated in rush, there were only 2 girls who did not get bids. One because she narrowed her choices down sooo much that she only picked one sorority! She was on their B list and didn't get a bid. The other girl was completely rude through rush. She came to our house and didn't speak to the sisters and then she spoke negatvely about us to other rushees while in our house! I think she did this at at least two of the other houses. She really thought she was going to get a bid at this one house and was mighty suprised when she had been cut by all 4 sororities before skit night! Just stay positive, ask questions and have fun! You will be just fine!
