Well, throwing a new wrinkle in the little black dress option. Last year, older girls told my daughter that many houses wear all black (and maybe all white) on pref night. I know my daughter had to buy one for this year's pref night. So wearing a black dress may make the PNM blend in with the actives. Realistically if the chapter has her to pref, surely they will not overlook her because of that, but we were told to be aware of that. Many of my daughter's friends (and my daughter) wore neutral dresses. My daughter chose to wore a taupe dress she had worn to homecoming a year or so earlier.
