Auburn has a nice Pinterest page up: http://www.pinterest.com/AubPanhellenic/
Pretty short hemlines to my eye, but a lot of lovely choices and a good "don'ts" page.

I like the Auburn suggestions, except for the strapless for Pref. I know some girls will choose strapless, but I would never recommend it. Too much tugging and insecurity, and very few people really look good in that style.
ETA: I sing for weddings, so I go to an average of 20 or more weddings a year, and 99.9999999% of brides are choosing strapless gowns. Only about 10% of brides look good in them and can act composed and comfortable. When they also choose strapless for bridesmaids, all hell breaks loose. There is always the bigger girl who has overhang, the girls with tattoos, etc. Just not a great choice in most cases.

That's because it's all the bridal shops are pushing. Probably because a strapless means that you need to buy necklaces and bracelets and a more ornate veil to go with them. Everyone needs to follow Kate Middleton's example.
And I feel SO sorry for these bridesmaids stuck in them. I don't know why mothers (of the bride and the maids) aren't stepping in and telling the bride that it doesn't make her prettier if her maids are in dresses that do nothing for them.

For those parents and alumnae that are planning on using Old Taylor Road exits off of US 278/Hwy 6 you need to know that there is considerable construction going on.
Link to Tupelo Daily Journal article
Those taking Coliseum Drive (being renamed soon) as an alternate route should also be aware of the significant construction of a parking garage and new Coliseum on campus.

I look better in strapless, but I understand the value of 1-a proper fit and 2-good lingerie. Some rinkydink cutesy strapless bra isn't gonna cut it if you want the girls up where they're supposed to be. And add the size you were last year instead of today and you're really up a creek. Too tight and it's coming DOWN especially once you start walking around and sweating.

Yes, my daughter is thinking about it. The recruitment guide said cocktail dress. She was shopping at "the store" in College Station and this is what the girl working there said would be 'perfect'. I'm not so sure about it though.

Segueing back to George Clooney and pref dresses (interesting combo in one sentence), the black and white stripey number looks like it came from O Brother Where Art Thou .... Unless you are escaping with the paterfamilias, I'm with you adpiisis
