Alpha Gamma Girls & Alums
Hey girls, whether you're still with us here at Southern or if you've finally escaped, let us know what's up!

Heather-
I know Stacey Woodyard has escaped. She's moving to Madison soon I can't wait to visit with her.

Congrats to all of the Alumni on your new charter! I read your reply to the other thread about Steak n Shake. I had no idea about that tradition, but ironically, a bunch of us in my class always used to head out there after meetings. That's how we met "Pork Chop" our usual waiter! Anyway, I look forward to working with your chapter and would like to start planning homecoming activities if possible.

Hi there, Heather! My name is Carrie (Gartzke) Brewer. I was a member of the Epsilon class and am now an alumni member. I live only about an hour and a half away from Carbondale these days and if there is anything the actives need help with.. feel free to contact me! I am happy to see the actives would like to keep in contact with the alumni! I sure do miss C'dale and most of all ... my Sigma Alpha sisters!

Thanks for posting, Carrie! I'm glad that you're so close. One thing that we will be starting to discuss soon is Founder's Day. I would like both actives and alumni to plan this event together. I think it could be really great this year. Founder's Day is on Dec. 2, but last year we celebrated it early. I want to know if we should stay with the weekend of Dec. 2 if it happens to fall on a weekday, or celebrate it at an earlier time. Let me know what everyone thinks so we can start rolling on this.

Heather
Well I escaped SIU long ago almost 6 years. I was a founding Alpha Gamma sister and now live near a town called Newman, IL -which is 11 miles east of Tuscola. I work as an assistant to 2 Trust Officers up in Champaign.
Am planning on coming down for Homecoming and trying to help plan something fun for us - any suggestions on something that the actives and alums can do together?

Homecoming
Our first chapter meeting will be today, so we can track everyone down and get started on things for the year. We will be discussing rush as well as starting on homecoming ideas. If you or any other alumni members have any ideas, let us know!
