I loved reading this Thread! My daughter is currently interviewing for the new colony at IU, after being part of the crazy rushing/bed quota system at IU that left hundreds of quality young ladies without a sorority. I think it is a little intimidating to join a brand new colony, but after hearing how everyone pulled together to help KD have such a great first recruitment at Wash U I feel even more excited for my daughter to have the opportunity to be a founder of a new colony! It's definitely work and it definitely takes some time for the group to cohere, but they're building something to be proud of. And they're having fun. Seriously. It's all new, but it's also a ton of fun.
