You can carry water or something in your bag, usually if you have more than a 1 round break between parties you go back to whatever meeting place your rho gamma assigns (union, library, etc.) to hang out. It's not the hunger games
ETA: well it is the hunger games, but not because of drinks!

Imagine if the PNMs had to figure out how to get water out of a tree like in the movie or die of thirst...only salt water for you at parties! Get your own spile! (note for the clueless, like me: spile is the tappy thing that gets water out of trees. The more you know!)

So it's the thirst games?

With all of the changes this year some to due weather, some not, I'd say it the numbers games.

IU - Campus sources inaccurate re: Vera Bradley

Unfortunately the campus sources who advised that IU PNM's were given Vera Bradley items (at check-in Thursday evening or any time since then) were incorrect! Checked with my daughter who is a PNM and no such luck!

PNM ranking decision question...

But DEFINITELY remember, your ranking only comes in to play to the extent that the chapters invite you back. Many and maybe most girls don't have full schedules after round 1. And that's ok. If nothing else a light round 2 schedule will give you precious time to rest so you can be your fully enthusiastic self at the houses who did invite you.

So I'm trying to give my daughter (PNM @ IU) some help with making her ranking list decisions...fortunately they only need to list their "bottom 9" chapters on Sunday night, but she has not seen any statistics about chapter sizes and pledge class sizes from 2013 in her recruitment packet. So would appreciate any advice about how she can try to determine the size of last years' pledge classes so that she can, as recommended above, keep some of the high number chapters in her upper group? Thanks!

There should be a recruitment 2012-2013 thread in this forum started by irishpipes. It lists all the NPC chapters nationwide and the number of women they took (alphabetical by state). I'd link but still figuring out the new phone :-)

Look in recruitment, not sorority recruitment.

The schedule looks absolutely draining to me. I'm so glad I went to a smaller school when I see this craziness.

Any idea of when they learn about which houses they are invited to for the "12 Party"?

Immediately (15 or 30 minutes) before the first parties of that round start.

Just because of the sheer size of the campus and the fact that some of the sororities are on Third and some are on Jordan, they might find out an hour or two before the first event. Or maybe even Friday evening if all 12 parties are on Saturday.

Point taken. On a 2-day round (rare among all NPC rushes after round 1), you could have a significant delay. But it won't be the TOMORROW that you'd like it to be. I edited for a smidge of clarity. And to make it look like IndianaSigKap is making shit up.

I survived if that means anything...
I think the final number of women that started recruitment was 1607. This removes all those cut for grades as well as any duplicates.
