Yes, Thiel! I love it up here. The Zetas are all sweet girls. My roommate is actually a Zeta.

Am I reading/remembering correctly that you pledged last fall? It seems that I have read of campuses on GC where an individual could pledge one year and be a Rho Gamma the next.

On my campus one had to have completed formal recruitment as a PNM as well as complete one formal recruitment on the sorority side prior to applying to be a Rho Gamma. Obviously you had a very positive experience in your position. Do you think that not having experienced how recruitment works had any impact on you?
Yes, I pledged last fall. On my campus, anyone can apply, though if you went through Spring informal you usually won't get it.

I wanted to go through on the chapter side originally but our recruitment chair mailed applications to girls she thought best fit for the job. I ended up getting two - one before the deadline, and one two weeks after the 'deadline' so I kind of realized A.) She really wanted me to do it and B.) We didn't have enough girls apply. I was on social probation in the spring semester so I didn't attend formals or mixers, and I wasn't allowed to participate in greek week or take a little, so I would have been kind of useless at recruitment, in a way. There were actually four rho gammas that had pledged in the fall last year. It was a different perspective but as far as not having experienced it from an active side, I don't think it had that much of an impact on me. We do spring informal, so I knew that each chapter voted on PNM's, what time lists were due, and when bids were handed out. And I knew what kinds of questions actives would ask, so i helped prepare my girls to answer those, and helped them come up with questions to ask the actives. I loved being a Rho Gamma, and I would even consider doing it again if needed.
