An acquaintance of mine who is a reporter for the city paper's kid ate some of this yogurt and is experiencing some pretty serious medical complications. Chobani has refused to tell him what was in the yogurt so the child can be treated. They did promise that they would tell the child's doctor when he called. So far, the doc only gets a busy signal when he calls.

That is horrifying. I have never been so happy to have a picky eater for a child in my life.

I've always liked yogurt so I tried one of the Greek brands recently.. it tasted very sour to me. I expected it to be thicker but taste creamy like normal yogurt. Is it supposed to taste like that or was it bad??

I think you either hate it or love it. I love it unless it has mold contaminating it.
ETA: or plain. Plain is gross.

It's all gross to me. I've tried and tried, but I just can't get yogurt down, regardless of what kind or flavor it is.

Vanilla is only 1/2 step above gross. I need lots of fruit in Greek yogurt to add sweetness.

I can't imagine what happens when you can't keep it down.

Just got home from Costco and they had plenty of Chobani in fridge. I was really surprised to see it for sale, but maybe it's not all types of Chobani?

It's only certain lots. They probably have more than one production facility, and maybe not all are affected.

Stop ruining my "The Exorcist" image of you laying in bed vomiting Greek yogurt. LOL.

I'll eat frozen yogurt in the summertime, but that's about the extent of that.

This article says it is a mold that was detected in the yogurt, that it should not grow unless kept unrefrigerated and it should not cause health problems in most people. I wonder if that man's child has a mold allergy? Or is just sick from something else.
