Cross-cut is when doing PattiPNM puts A then B, and she is tops in Bs list but not As list and then ends up getting dropped all together because of quota. RFM is designed to prevent this.

Cross cutting

As we used the term, it would only be cross cutting if Pam ended up without a bid - but in the scenario as presented Pam should end up with a bid to B because she is on their first list - she would only be bumped off both lists if enough pnms had listed B first to result in Pam not being offered a bid to B.

I have seen several different definitions of cross-cutting used here, so I'm interested to know how others use the term.

eta - Maybe the term she is looking for is "screwed". HA!
