Here's the thing: if you go into it thinking you are gonna meet the love of your life, you will probably find it tedious and kinda icky. If you go into it thinking you are gonna have a few drinks and socialize, you will have a blast. I did it years ago with a friend of mine, and we came up with all sorts of weird questions to ask instead of "what do you do?", "where do you live", etc. and had a really fun night. I went on a few dates from it, mostly dead-end, but still enjoyed my night.
