DZ didn't absorb other sororities, DZ simply absorbed sororities that had absorbed others.

Here we go:
I. Sigma Sigma Omicron absorbed Phi Alpha Chi (originally Tanewah) circa 1927. The new sorority became Sigma Phi Beta.

In the early 1930s, Phi Omega Pi (originally Achoth) absorbed Sigma Phi Beta.
As you know, PhiOPi went to DZ.

II. Lambda Omega (originally Norronea [sp?] absorbed Alpha Sigma Delta (originally Iaqua) in 1932.
Theta Upsilon (originally Mekatina) abosrbed Lambda Omega in 1933.
Then, Theta Upsilon goes to DZ.

IV. Delta Sigma Epsilon absorbed Pi Delta Theta in the early 1940s. Then, DSE goes to DZ.

V. Beta Phi Alpha took a chapter of Phi Delta, a non-NPC sorority that was disintegrating by the late 1930s b/c of the Depression. But this isn't really a merger.

It's a very interesting family tree!!!!
