I didn't want to contact her and ask her what happens next because I don't know if that would be pushy or not so if I may ask you all, "What happens next?"
If a woman decides to write a rec for me, will she tell me? If I don't hear anything should I assume no one wanted to write one? If someone DOES write me one and doesn't tell me, how will I know who it is so that I can write a thank you note?
I guess the thing that is very confusing for me is that I don't know if I've done my part already or if there is more I should be doing.
Thank you for any help you can give me!

For the packets you've turned into alumnae panhellenic - no, you won't hear if they've written recs for you. If your alumnae panhellenic is like mine, each sorority has a recommendation chairman. You may address thank you notes to those women. I usually advise my pnms to include a thank you note in their packets.
You should still see if you can get personal recommendations from those you know - put out the word and you may be surprised at how many sorority alumnae you know.
Good luck.
